This past couple of weeks taught me the real meaning of "never say never". I always had a strong belief about this, and not only in fashion, but all aspects of my life. Last week, a big party was happing here in Salvador, it's called carnival and you probably heard about at some point in your life. If you don't, let me explain, it's a street party (that lasts a week), where people from all the country and world come and drink, dance and follow big trucks from where performers sing. Even Psy and his Gangnam Style joined the party this year. The city basically stops, so everyone can get a chance to have fun.

I was never really attracted to it, my family goes every year, but I don't know if it's because I leave where it happens, so I take it for granted. BUT, 2013 my resolution number 1# was to do things differently, so when a bunch of my friends dragged me outside my beloved house, I went. Talking about getting out of the comfort zone! I went 3 days and for me it's a lot! I even went to a rock concert in the beach!! Got the picture? When the singer screamed "jump" it was like a cloud of sand all over it. Interesting.

And all that made me realise that we must get uncomfortable sometimes, get out of our comfort zone. I've been studying like crazy and I'm always reading "a stylist must have an encyclopaedic visual vocabulary" so I don't believe you can get that if you play safe, right?

I selected a group of photos from my hometown so you guys can get to know a little bit. I'm planning another photo tour and show more soon. I love doing it because I can always find cool places to shoot.
